Peasant Blouses at Doncaster.comOnce again, its the 70s!  Previously, I have made mention of fringe, orange, and equestrian trends from the 70s.  And today, its peasant blouses with leggings or skinny pants.  This updated approach to the mod 70s is inspired by the whimsical creations of Tory Burch.

Some of us, author included, wore the gauzy version of the 70s in the 70s.  I have a hard and fast rule not to repeat a trend.  So, I love this top, which is a restatement instead of a repeat.  For starters, instead of gauzy cotton, this blouse is made of silk with an exqusite graphic pattern.  Then, this top is well tailored.  No elastic peasant collars here!  Full length raglan sleeves with self banded cuffs and troca shell button closure give a flattering look to arms that may have become a little soft with age and a tuck detail at neckline frames the face in the most flattering light.

Enjoy this blouse with a belt and skinny pants for a day of stylish fun and comfort.
