Pretty close to my love for the Perfect LBD is the Perfect LWD…the Little White Dress. White is simple, clean, pure and cool. It reminds me of the feeling of crisp white sheets after a day in the sun. Unlike black, which is the complete absence of light, white is pure reflection of light.
White is a color recognized across many religions for purity. Baptisms. Weddings, Confirmations. And mourning. From a seasonal standpoint, it is the epitome of summer. Wedding dresses, sundresses. Even today, I wore a white dress for a Bar Mitzvah. It was the perfect outfit for a warm summer day.
