The difference between beautiful curves and a “big butt” often comes down to finding the right pant fit. Look for a classic flat front pant that sits at your natural waist line. If you are more petite, look at a pant that is straight; if you are tall, a boot cut will most likely work best. Like our friends with the O or Apple body type, look for fabric that is has some movement and stretch to it such as a wool twill, tropical wool or synthetic crepe. There should be room in the thigh and hip to fit neatly without being too baggy or saggy in the crotch!
The things to avoid are cuffs and tapered styles as they will draw the eye of the beholder downward and right to your midsection! Avoid back pockets with flaps as the extra material will draw emphasis and add depth to the backside. Be careful of side pockets as the can gape open. In most cases, I remove side pockets for my clients as they add nothing but unwanted attention to most body types (the H body type is the exception here).
