When should someone restore and when should they buy new?
It depends on personal preferences, sentimental value, memories and amount of money you wish to spend to restore it. Every case is different and depends on many factors. We can use for example stones from an old settting and create a new piece, sometimes it is required to repolish old stones or recut them. So there is lots of possibilities.
Estate jewelry is a unique piece of art. It shouldn’t be in a vault, it should be worn, so everybody around can see how beautiful it is.
Contact a master jeweler to find out how this piece of history you own is possible to fix. With the technology available, it is easy to see the endless possibilities!
